NOTE: Installation Guide for Retaining Wall, 1 metre high using 2 metre sleepers. Different Councils have different requirements. It is advisable to check with your Council before building a retaining wall.

Set pegs at each end of retaining wall siteand connect string line to give you the required alignment. Holes should be dug at 2010mm centres.

The post holes for the 1 metre high wall must be dug to 1100mm deep. Once holes are completed place posts in the holes and add concrete. (DO NOT overfill holes.) Concrete should not exceed 1010mm from the top of each post.

With string line still in place, check alignment of all the posts with a spirit level. Recheck distances between posts (i.e. 2010mm, a piece of wood cut to this length will assist to accurately check this measurement.)

After concrete has cured in post holes overnight, place first sleepers between posts, then check measurement from the top of this sleeper to top of each post, you may need packing pieces under the bottom of this sleeper to get desired height. Once this height is correct add the remaining sleepers.

Once sleepers have been installed you will need to place plastic membrane behind the wall and Ag-pipe or strip drain at the bottom of the wall, cover pipe with 20mm gravel to allow for drainage.

Do not use heavy machinery within 0.75 of the height of the wall.
So easy to install!
Installation has never been easier. Retaining walls can be built from as low as 100 millimetres to 3 metres high...to suit any garden.
Standard lengths of 2 or 2.4 metres are available or can be cut to lengths between 400 millimetres to a maximum of 2.4 metres.
This allows flexibility, contrasting other block products which require fixed height-for-width ratios in landscaping plans that limit Australia’s creative gardeners.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If heavy machinery is being used, do not compact closer than 75% of the height of the wall. The Sleeper concrete grade is N32, except within 1 km of the coastal waters, where N40 grade concrete will need to be ordered. 120 x 65mm steel is the minimum recommended size. Sleeper thicknesses may vary.
